The Yin Wood Everest Printing Co. Ltd. participated in the Gender-Responsive Procurement: Supply-Demand Activation Pilot held on June 1, 2026, at The Westin Manila, Mandaluyong City. The seminar gathered government agencies, development partners, and private sector representatives to strengthen the implementation of the New Government Procurement Act (Republic Act No. 12009) through the promotion of inclusive and gender-responsive procurement practices. The event served as a platform for fostering collaboration between procuring entities and businesses while encouraging greater participation of women-owned and women-led enterprises in government procurement.
The seminar featured presentations and knowledge-sharing sessions from representatives and resource speakers from the World Bank, Procurement Service–Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Education (DepEd), Social Security System (SSS), and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). Discussions focused on the principles of gender-responsive procurement, the implementation of the Inclusive Procurement Program under the New Government Procurement Act, and the importance of creating procurement policies that provide equitable opportunities for all sectors. Speakers also highlighted how government agencies can integrate inclusivity into procurement planning while maintaining transparency, accountability, and efficiency in public service.
Participants were also introduced to the Philippine Government Electronic Procurement System (PhilGEPS) and its modernized platform through orientation sessions and live demonstrations. The discussions covered supplier registration procedures, procurement opportunities available to merchants and enterprises, and the importance of digital procurement systems in improving accessibility and efficiency. Interactive workshops and open forums further allowed participants to exchange insights, raise questions, and explore practical approaches to strengthening partnerships between government procuring entities and the private sector.
For Yin Wood Everest Printing Co. Ltd., participation in the seminar provided valuable knowledge on current procurement policies, supplier engagement, and government procurement processes. The event offered an opportunity to better understand how businesses can participate in public procurement while supporting initiatives that encourage diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunities.
